Mongolian Holiday-Nadan Horserace

These are two year old horses that run a 20 minute race. Yes there is a horse that is stumbling in this picture...the riders are children that are a certain age, and occasionally along the path of the race, the riders do fall off. I saw ten riderless horses during this race...falling off is penalized so the rider who does is bumped down a place. So if the horse came in second place without a rider, it would be bumped to third instead. I waited HOURS for this twenty minute race, but that's Mongolia for you: hurry up and wait.
